Islander Kelp pesto contains kelp (Laminaria digitata – 35%), to produce a superb pesto with a slight ocean twist.
Perfect for use as ordinary pesto, drizzled over food, or simply used as a dip. It gives an ambient and fresh taste. Suitable for vegans.
Rathlin Islander Kelp is farmed on ropes which reach down into the unusually strong currents around Rathlin Island. The strength of these tides keeps the temperature at a constant and provides the nutrients for the kelp to flourish. This, along with the bespoke cultivation methods, allows Rathlin Island kelp to be grown 365 days a year.
A 100% natural process is used to preserve the kelp. Thanks to a refined process which that has been developed over many years, Islander Rathlin is organic.
